CAPES Clinic offers direct services to individuals who have completed the CAPES Team collaborative process and wish to use one or more of the CAPES providers, as well as other clients who wish to use one or more of our providers. New clients would be required to complete the CAPES intake form before being considered for Clinic services.

DIRFloorTime® Practitioner

Emmanuel has completed the following course DIRFloortime® Child Developmental Intervention. DIRFloortime® promotes child development through mental processes such as attention, communication, memory, perception, problem solving, and creativity. Emmanuel collaborates with families.

DIR 201 – Promoting Basic Functional Emotional Developmental Capacities

DIR 202 – Supporting Higher Functional Emotional Developmental Capacities

Emmanuel has worked in the behavioral health system teaching social skills, relaxation skills, impulse control, emotional coping skills, functional living skills, and anger management techniques.


Pediatric Psychiatry
Cynthia Bruns, D.O.

Dr. Bruns has 17 years experience treating children and adolescents in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Since joining CAPES in September 2014, she has evaluated and treated patients from 3 to 18 years old, with a wide range of diagnoses. She also provides psychiatric consultation to pediatricians and is a member of the CAPES multidisciplinary assessment team.

Cynthia received her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her internship in Family Practice at the Medical College of Georgia and her residency in General Psychiatry and Fellowship and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in San Antonio at the University of Health Sciences.

Cleatta is a retired school psychologist with 30+ years experience serving children and adolescents.  Services include psychotherapy, psychoeducational evaluations and consultations.
